SA.MI. Fruit processes different classes of cherries:
Red cherries. Whole and halved cherries for fruit cocktails, colored with erythrosine (E 127), preserved in 6% acetic acid.
Available sizes: 16/18, 18/20, 20/22.
Packaging:
Plastic barrel 130 kg net, with plastic bag inside.
Red cherries. Halved cherries for fruit cocktails, colored with carmine (E 120), preserved in 6% acetic acid.
Available sizes: 16/18, 18/20, 20/22.
Whole red cherries in E-127
Whole red cherries
Description
Whole cherries are obtained from top quality ripe cherries with a firm consistency and sulphur. The cherries are stemmed, pitted and colored with E127.
After processing they are stored in a maintenance solution.

Red coloured cherries
Description
Cherries halves are prepared from mature sulfured first quality firm texture cherries. Cherries are stemmed, pitted and dyed with E127 colorant. Red coloured cherries preserved in holding solution.
Size
16/18 95 % between 16 and 18 mm, 5 % tolerance
18/20: 95 % between 18 and 20 mm, 5 % tolerance
20/22: 95 % between 20 and 22 mm, 5 % tolerance
